1. Base design and size required

Tell us the base construction you want. If you are not sure, describe how you live (sport, swimming, heat, how often you want to refit) and we will recommend one.

The shape of the front edge of the base. A and AA are rounded, B and BB are softly squared, C and CC are square. Choose Standard if you are not sure, or Follow my template if you are sending one.

Leave blank for no grey. Grey hair is made with synthetic or human grey fibre; tell us if you have a preference.

If you are not sure, Light 80% to Medium 120% suits most wearers. Heavier is not more natural.

Advanced options (10 to 14) — or leave these to usFront lace size, skin thickness, under hair, scalloped front, bleached knots. Most men skip these and we recommend what suits the base.
10. Front lace size

For bases with a lace front: how deep the lace strip is.

11. Skin thickness

For skin bases or skin perimeters. Thinner is finer at the hairline, thicker lasts longer.

12. Under hair

Hair knotted on the underside of the perimeter so the edge blends with your own hair.

13. Scalloped front

An uneven, slightly irregular front edge that looks more like a natural hairline than a straight line. Styles 1 to 6 go from subtle to more pronounced.

14. Bleached knots

Lightens the knots so the base looks like scalp. Bleaching slightly weakens the knots, so most men bleach the front only.

15. Head measurements

Optional if you are sending a template. Use a soft tape measure. Numbers only.
