PHL #5 is a clarifying shampoo for the hair system itself. It deep-cleans adhesive, styling product and build-up out of the hair and base without drying the hair out.
Use it when the system is off, during the clean-and-reattach routine, not as an everyday shampoo. Wash the system, rinse well, let it dry, and it is ready for fresh adhesive. If you use New Demensions shampoo on the system, follow it with PHL #5 to take away any oily feel.
